Partners for Children and Families Committee (PCFC)

Purpose
To explore, study, and recommend innovative practices that affect the Texas Child Protection system. The Committee also advises the Department of Family and Protective Services, Single Source Continuum Contractors (SSCCs), and Health and Human Services on the evolution of the child protection system to its model of Community-Based Care and the impact on the child protection system at large.

Advisory Committee on Promoting Adoption of Minority Children (ACPAMC)

Purpose
The ACPAMC works locally and at the state level to raise awareness of the needs of minority children in all stages of service. It's purpose is:

(1) To make recommendations to the Department through regularly scheduled meetings and Department staff assigned to the committee.

(2) To perform other tasks consistent with the committee's purpose that are requested by the Commissioner.

(3) To report to the Department at least annually on the committee's recommendations for Department programs and projects that will promote the adoption of and provision of services to minority children.
