Apply for the Advisory Committee on Promoting Adoption of Minority Children (ACPAMC)

Are you interested in promoting the adoptions of minority children?

If you have knowledge and experience in community education, cultural relations, family support, counseling, parenting skills, and education - or you are an ordained member of the clergy - you may want to apply to be a member of the Advisory Committee on Promoting Adoption of Minority Children (ACPAMC).

Membership Duties

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) commissioner will appoint members to the committee to serve a term beginning June 1, 2021.

A committee member must regularly participate in committee meetings and may also have to participate in projects and presentations. Committee meetings will be held throughout the state or virtually about once every four months - or at the call of the presiding officer.  Travel expenses to advisory committee meetings are reimbursed.  Any other activities may not be reimbursed.

DFPS will consider applicant qualifications, backgrounds, and interests in serving on the committee.
