Appendix 3000-2: DFPS History Chart for:

External Users;

DFPS Prospective Employees, Volunteers, and Interns; and

CASA Employees, Volunteers, and Board Members

CBCU April 2017

The four charts in this appendix show what the DFPS response must be to an individual's background check based on the seriousness of the allegations and the role the person was judged to have had in a case.

Role information is irrelevant if the case was closed with a Ruled Out (R/O), Invalid, or Administrative Closure (ADM) disposition. The person's DFPS History Check should be cleared regardless of role in this circumstance.

Barred means that this person is not eligible for hire by DFPS based on his or her DFPS History Check results.

Review means this person's DFPS History Check results require further review to determine his or her eligibility to hire. (See Appendix 4000-1: Tips for Reviewing DFPS Case History to Assess Hiring Eligibility).

Cleared means this person's DFPS History Check results require no further action.
