Caseworker Support Coordinators
DFPS is seeing full-time and part-time Caseworker Support Coordinators (CSCs). CSCs work together with DFPS caseworkers to provide supervision of children without placement (CWOP). Children can vary in age, but the primary population is youth ranging from 10 to 17 years of age. Responsibilities of the position include assisting the DFPS caseworker with monitoring children and ensuring their needs are met during their community location stay, including: safety, food, hygiene, education and entertainment/recreational activities.
Caseworker Support Coordinators provide supervision during their preferred times, based on shift availability. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, but time worked must not exceed 40 hours per week.
DFPS is looking for individuals who have experience working with children who have experienced abuse and/or neglect, or have prior experience working for a child welfare agency.
Applicants will be notified/contacted upon hiring and will report to their designated regional point of contact. Online training is provided and must be completed prior to signing up for and working any shifts. The employee and regional point of contact will be notified when training completion has been verified and employee is ready to begin work.
Travel mileage will be reimbursed at the current state rate for any mileage traveled from the location of the CSC’s identified headquarters or residence, whichever is the lesser distance, to the location of CWOP supervision. Mileage will not be reimbursed for travel from CSC’s residence to their headquarters for CWOP supervision. CSCs are not allowed to provide transportation for any children or families.
