DFPS Asset Management Handbook February 2011
The Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Asset Management policy sets out agency policy, procedures and guidelines for the custody and care of all assets and state-owned property in DFPS possession. DFPS Asset Management policy is to be used in conjunction with the State of Texas Comptroller’s State Property Accounting Process User’s Guide. Because of the need to accommodate change and maintain operational flexibility, the procedures in this guide are subject to immediate revision upon approval by the chief operating officer. Only the chief operating officer may approve exceptions to DFPS Asset Management policy or procedures.
