Requirements for Marriage by Youths in Conservatorship (PATS 2047)

The content of the item below is revised to clarify issues regarding youths under age 18 who wish to marry. Specifically, youths who are at least 16 years old, but younger than 18 years old, may not marry unless they have the consent of a parent or other person designated by a court, or a court order, to authorize the marriage. Also, a court order is required before a youth under age 16 can marry. See:
