This revision of the Child Protective Services Handbook was published on May 6, 2009. Summaries of new or revised items are provided below.
Removal of Redundant Policy (PATS 2767)
6861 Investigations of Abuse and Neglect in Adoptive Homes is deleted because the policy describes:
· investigations in unconsummated adoptive placements that are now conducted by the Licensing division; and
· investigations in consummated adoptive placements, which is unnecessary since CPS has no procedures that are different for adoptive families.
