Dispositions for Allegations of Prenatal Drug or Alcohol Exposure (PATS 1025)

The section below is added to provide direction and consistency for finding and documenting dispositions of allegations that newborns were exposed in utero to controlled substances or alcohol. This policy, developed at the request of field staff, meets federal requirements in the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act.

CPS staff were informed of this policy with the issuance of Protective Services Action (PSA) memo 05-046 on 1/28/2005.
