Statewide Intake Procedures Handbook Revision
April 2009

This revision of the Statewide Intake Procedures Handbook was published on April 1, 2009. Summaries of new or revised items are provided below.

Address Confidentiality Program

This policy introduces procedures for how SWI will document and process reports that involve a participant in the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) program, which is administered by the Crime Victim Services Division of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG). See:

2516 Parental Notification When A Minor Wants or Has Had an Abortion

Documentation of Companion Cases

This is a change in the way that SWI documents related calls.

Workers will no longer need to document related calls in the body of their narrative as long as they have used the “new using” function when creating additional reports. See:

Contacting On-Call Field Staff

This revision incorporates minor procedural changes in how SWI notifies on-call field staff about reports after business hours. See:

New Field on Intake Actions Page in IMPACT (CPS Intakes Only)

This clarification explains a new field in IMPACT for CPS intakes (SIR 26032). The field is designed to assist CPS staff in determining whether an intake is eligible for review by a CPS screener. A change in SWI's documentation is needed because of this IMPACT change. See:
