Issues Involving Children in CPS Conservatorship
The item below is revised to clarify SWI procedures when a report involves a child in DFPS conservatorship and the report is assessed as CPS, CCL, and I&R. Procedures for handling disruption of an adoption have been expanded to include breakdowns of placements. Procedures are provided for handling reports of alleged abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a child residing in a facility that is not regulated by DFPS.
