SWI ANE in an APS PI Facility By Non-Staff Members (PATS 10457)

Clarified what program has jurisdiction to investigate when a family member or friend abuses, neglects, or exploits a client on the grounds of a facility investigated by APS Provider Investigations. See:

Child Safety Check Alert List (CSCAL), Alternative Response (AR), and Unable to Complete (UTC) (PATS 9362)

The items below are added to document when to apply CSCAL policy and when to apply UTC policy.

CSCAL policy applies when law enforcement reports finding a child on CSCAL and a valid match is found in IMPACT that:

  •   was closed as a UTC with a Closure Code of Close-fam moved/cannot locate; and

  •   displays a red sunburst indicating the case was closed as UTC within the past 12 months.

UTC policy applies when an Investigation (INV) or Alternative Response (RA) investigation was:

  •   was closed as a UTC; and

  •   displays a red sunburst indicating the case was closed as UTC within the past 12 months.
