Lisa Subia was named chief financial officer for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in March 2016.  She oversees financial operations for the agency including budget, accounting, and federal funds.   

Before joining the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, she served as the chief financial officer and budget director for the Health and Human Services Commission.  Lisa also worked at the Texas Department of State Health Services from 1992 to 2008.  Her roles have included financial manager of the Tuberculosis Elimination Division, financial director of the Bureau of Laboratories, financial director of the Administrative Service Center for the Regulatory Services Division, and budget manager under the CFO.

Born and raised in Big Spring, Lisa left west Texas to pursue her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin (1992).  Lisa is also a graduate of the Texas Fiscal Officers Academy Class of 2006 and the Governors Executive Development Program.
