Revisions for Clarity and Consistency

744.301 What changes regarding my operation must I notify Licensing about before making the change?

This rule has been amended to add the definition of "operation location" and to add requirements that Licensing be notified before your center offers a get-well care program or nighttime care or sells or transfers ownership of the operation, which has been incorporated from current 744.303 What changes must I notify Licensing of regarding the operation's designee, governing body, and directors?.

744.303 What changes must I notify Licensing of regarding the operation's designee, governing body, and directors?

In addition to clarifying language, this rule has been amended to delete the requirement to notify Licensing before an operation sells or transfers ownership of the operation, which has been moved to 744.301(10) What changes regarding my operation must I notify Licensing about before making the change?.

744.305 What other situations require notification to Licensing?

This rule has been amended to delete broad examples of occurrences that that may render and operation unsafe or unsanitary, because more specific examples are already included in a Helpful Information box.

744.401 What items must I post at my operation at all times?

This rule has been amended to clarify that activity plans for each group of children (if required by 744.2005 Must caregivers have written activity plans?) must be posted at the operation at all times.

744.405 What telephone numbers must I post and where must I post them?

This rule has been amended to delete the requirement to post the address of the nearest Licensing office because Licensing Inspectors are now mobile workers and not at a particular office and to clarify the wording of the rule for accuracy.

744.503 Must I provide parents with a copy of my operational policies?

This rule has been amended to clarify that the parent signature for the enrollment agreement and the operational policies may be a signature on one document or several documents (this was previously required by repealed 744.2111 Must I have a written discipline and guidance policy?).

744.505 What must I do when I change an operational policy or an item in the child-care enrollment agreement?

This rule has been amended to clarify that employees must be notified of any changes to your operational policies (this was previously required by repealed 744.2115 How often must I update my written discipline and guidance policy?) and to clarify the language of the rule.

744.507 Must I provide a copy of my operational policies to my employees?

This rule was repealed because it is already clear that operational policies must be shared with employees in 744.901(6) What information must I maintain in my personnel records?.
