Who is Child Care Licensing?
Child Care Licensing (CCL) has many faces.
Child Care Licensing inspectors conduct routine inspections to:
- offer technical assistance to help providers be aware of best childcare practices and
- evaluate child care homes to ensure compliance.
Child Care Licensing investigators assess reports of abuse, neglect, or deficiencies due to not meeting requirements. Definitions of terms on this page: How does the law define abuse? Neglect? Abuse is an intentional, knowing or reckless act or omission that causes or may cause emotional harm, physical injury, or death of a child.
