Communicating Business Policies
Minimum standards require licensed and registered caregivers to create operational policies to reflect the business practices of their child care home. Communicating your business policies to parents will promote a positive working relationship.
Some business practices that are important to communicate in your operational policies include:
- procedures for release of children,
- discipline and guidance practices,
- animals in your home,
- hours of operation,
- meals and nutrition, and
- emergency practices.
