Levels of Evidence-Based Practices
Many good programs start off as promising in theory, but may need assistance in establishing evidence of their effectiveness. Review DFPS’ work in establishing a system for defining evidence-based, child maltreatment prevention services. One of the goals of this system is to assist programs in working towards higher levels of proven effectiveness. DFPS is working with the Federal Children’s Bureau, Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) program to develop this system.
